An Improved Equivalent Circuit Simulation of High Frequency Ultrasound Transducer

The equivalent circuit simulation plays an important role in the design of ultrasound transducer. However, existing methods are difficult to achieve effect matching and backing layer, not able accurately simulate transducer with cable. Especially application high frequency ultrasound, long cable has a great influence on performance To overcome these limitations, this paper proposed improved method, which combined Leach model transmission line model. It can realize complete cable, layer PSPICE software when parameters were measured. Its principles briefly introduced, transducers different frequencies (12 20 MHz), layers, lengths (0.5–2.5 m) designed fabricated verify effectiveness is also compared traditional KLM method using PiezoCAD. experiment results showed that have significant impact transducers, good agreement results. Moreover, for transducer, better than Besides, does need know specific matching, or wire, it predict impedance phase through material parameters, very helpful selection optimization subsequent fabrication. study indicates suitable be applied general provides strong support system design.
